Nathan Oppman
Nathan joined The FAMiLY LEADER in 2015. He developed his interest in public policy through active involvement in campaigns, caucuses, and his local church in his home state of Iowa.
Nathan received a B.A. in political science, an M.A. in history, and an Ed.D. in curriculum and instruction from Bob Jones University. Before joining the team at TFL, Nathan gained valuable public policy and worldview teaching experience as the lectures and student intern coordinator at the Family Research Council. He also developed business and supervisory skills while working for two years in local branch management of a national car rental company.
During two of his graduate years, Nathan had the privilege of teaching history of civilization discussion classes to several hundred undergraduate students. He also speaks to churches, conferences, school and college groups, and other groups regarding Christian citizenship, history, and developing scripturally sound public policy. He has a passion to encourage biblical thinking in our society and government.
Nathan’s interests include sports, historical reading, ministering at his local church, and spending time with his wife. Nathan and his wife, Joy, reside in Des Moines, Iowa.
