Leonardo Lazarini, Church Ambassador Network and Community Outreach, The FAMiLY LEADER
Leonardo, also known around the office as “Leo,” is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. Lazarini made the move to America in 2010, where he pursued his love for soccer at Roosevelt High School. Later, he continued to play soccer at AIB and graduated with a degree in Business and Administration. He married his wife, Deborah, in 2015, and they live in Des Moines.
In addition to playing soccer and spending time with Deborah, Lazarini enjoys quality time with his community group from Walnut Creek Church and having grill-outs (he is also a big fan of cookies!).
After going back to Brazil from 2016-2018, Lazarini returned to the U.S. and is currently attending Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, where he plans to graduate in 2022.
“I want my life to be all about making disciples,” Lazarini says.
After connecting with TFL’s Greg Baker through church, Lazarini helped with TFL’s Honoring God 2018 campaign and now works as a regional coordinator and community outreach specialist for TFL’s Church Ambassador Network.
“I’ve been able to understand how government was instituted by God to be a blessing to people and how the Church should be a part in that,” Lazarini says. “I’m excited help pastors rediscover God’s vision for church and government.”
Favorite Bible verse: 1 Timothy 4:12 – “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
